Boobyball 2013 definitely put the 'FUN' in fundraiser!

Boobyball 2013 - A fantastic Calgary party raising money for Rethink Breast Cancer

The entire Devour Catering team really enjoyed being one of the sponsors of this year's 'Boobyball' fundraising event on October 24th.

Rethink Breast Cancer is a national organization that provides support programs for young women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  Since many support programs often don't focus on the needs of younger women with breast cancer, Rethink provides important connections, information, and support for women and their families.

The Hyatt Auto Gallery was completely transformed into a hip nightclub with a University/Campus/Frosh theme.  Cars were nowhere in sight and the magicians at PK Sound did a fantastic job lighting the showroom.  The themed decor was impressive and very well done. Everything from a glamour bar where you could have your makeup and hair done, to being able to buy costume pieces to fit with the theme.  No detail was overlooked.  Most guests came in costume which really added to the evening.  The amazing Shannon Valente of Shannon Valente Weddings and her team of dedicated volunteers made our job that evening incredibly easy.  What a fantastic team to work with - thank you!

Fayyaz didn't stop spinning fantastic beats throughout the evening and it was hard to believe we weren't in a nightclub.... he was absolutely phenomenal!! The dance floor was an astro-turf football field complete with the '50 yard line' running down the middle.  Whippt Desserts provided a themed desserts and sweets table complete with sweet graduation scrolls and cupcakes topped with mini board-and-mortar graduation hats.  Super fun (and delicious)!

Many thanks to Heninger Photography for sharing the photos of the evening with us.  A fun evening was had by all and we were thrilled to be a part of it.  The evening definitely proved that you can have fun while raising money for an important organization.

Thanks for reading and please let us know what you think about what makes a Calgary fundraising event successful and fun - we would love to hear your ideas.  Also if you are hosting any kind of even and need catering, please check out our Calgary catering services.  And please don't forget to check out our Devour Catering Facebook page and follow us on Pinterest and Twitter
