We lost it this winter didn’t we? All we wanted to do was hide inside and cozy up by a fire. But now that summer is here, the urge to entertain is hitting us hard. Whether you’re planning a huge outdoor wedding or organizing a small gathering in the backyard, there are lots of great resources available that can help you go from party host to party master.
A dinner party isn’t just about the food. There’s a whole art to hosting and planning a great gathering, no matter how simple or sophisticated of an event it is. One of the best ways to add personality to your party is to get creative with how you set your table. Tablescaping is a fun and simple way to really enhance your event. Chances are you have put a lot of thought into the food you are serving, so let’s showcase it in the best light possible!
“When it comes to our philosophy, we’ve really made a sincere commitment to preparing as much of our food from scratch as humanly possible,” says J’Val Shuster, owner of Calgary-based Devour Catering. Sure, it takes more time, but when we see people devouring the (flavourful) fruits of our labour, we know we’re doing things right. And, naturally, we want to keep doing it.
As soon as I met the amazingly talented and enthusiastic Dana Goldstein, owner of Chicflicks, I knew I could muster the courage to get in front of her camera and tell everyone why Devour Catering believes so strongly in heartfelt hospitality.
We are honoured to be Dana's inaugural Chicflicks video and we hope that you like what you see! A big thank you to Dana for her amazing work. Dana also owns Digital Shoebox which is also a fabulous company for those of you looking to have beautiful slideshows created for the amazing moments in your life.
Thanks in advance for taking a few minutes to watch the video - and please share any comments with us. We would love to hear from you!
